Best ever wind-up on WHO?
Who's got more than its fair share of wind-up merchants - what's the best wind-up there's ever been on WHO? (excluding Stansted)

The borrow a kid one was fantastic although I am not sure it was a wind up - just a lack of thinking through on behalf of the OP.

Didn't someone claim to find jam jars and upside crucifixes in their attic?

Re: Best ever wind-up on WHO?
There have been a few times on here that have generated tears of laughter, inhibited breathing, etc.

Bleeding's printer thread, although not intended as a wind-up, remains proudly at the top of the charts. The increasing fury, aimed first at the printer then at the salesman, was a joy to behold. In fairness, Bleeding did take it all on the chin, eventually.

Fury has also been a recurring theme in response to a number of Hugh's threads over the years. Those responses have contributed far more to WHO's comedy treasure chest than the original posts.

Then there was a website that accused WHO of racism, misogyny, bigotry and other modern crimes. The main issue with that site was its utterly sanctimonious tone, which invited redress. And splendid redress is precisely what it got from an army of talented WHOers.

The others are now sadly victims of a failing memory.

That 'Can I borrow a kid' thread was fucking funny as well, that ended up being shared on a few other sites too.
